What is your NMU connection?
I am currently a student at NMU with a major in social work and a human behavior cluster minor. I will be a senior this
upcoming fall.
Your favorite NMU memory or story
My favorite memory at NMU is from freshman year, when I met so many of my friends.
Who is the most influential person you met during your time at NMU and why were they so influential?
The most influential person I have met at NMU is my best friend Brenna Olko. We were suitemates my freshman year and since then have grown very close. Even though she had moved back home, she will always hold a special place in my heart.
What is/was your favorite thing to do in Marquette?
My favorite thing to do in Marquette is go hiking on all of the trails. There is a large variety of trails to walk and you always see something new.
Talk about any significant/memorable sporting events, weather occurrences or other on-campus activities
I was an RA this past school year and got to meet all of my residents. My favorite memory is of Dead River Games and
the entirety of homecoming week. I feel that it brought us all closer together and it was so much fun to see them all
making memories.
Share any dorm/roommate stories you may have
My sophomore year, I lived in Hunt Hall. My suitemate had a fish that had passed away so we held a funeral for it and
flushed him down the toilet.
What is your current or former profession?
I am currently working on campus, but hope to become a therapist in the future!
How did NMU help you get to where you are today?
NMU has taught me so much about myself and the community. I am a completely different person than I was when I
started school here in 2021. I have grown so much and have made so many wonderful memories.
