What is your NMU connection?
I was a student from 2016-2020, and will be returning in fall of 2024. I was the first student with a disability to take dance at NMU. At NMU, I found inclusion and welcoming acceptance .
Who is the most influential person you met during your time at NMU and why were they so influential?
Miss Jill Grundstrom. She’s the reason I became a student, she encouraged me, believed in me, and gave me a chance to dance when no one else did.
How did NMU help you get to where you are today?
NMU helped increase my confidence, and gave me so many wonderful experiences in theater and dance. I’m a children’s book author, and I use many of my NMU experiences to inspire children, and teach them about kindness.
