Why wouldn't I? As soon as I started looking into it I knew it was the school for me. I'm very big in my faith so I prayed for confirmation and no closed, if anything, more opened.

I've always been really good with kids, so when everyone said that I'd end up as a teacher or run a daycare I wanted to prove them wrong. But I was wrong, as it turns out it's what I WANT to be doing anyway... why fight it?

Because of my studies, my home church has offered me a summer position running the Children's Ministry- I'd say that's pretty cool!

I am in the American Sign Language (ASL) Club and LOVE it! I'm also involved with a church here in Marquette as a Sunday school teacher. As for the MOST rewarding experience, I'd say it's the ability to participate in things my hall and campus have put on for the community. It's a break from studying and how I met most of the people I see on a daily basis.

This is a tough one, I don't think I have an answer. Since coming here I discovered that I not only love to hike, but I also LOVE hockey- this surprised my whole family! As guess as I typed this out I did find an answer; to "be Northern" is to be yourself. If you don't know who that is yet, that's okay, because sooner or later you'll find out!

Don't just visit the school- visit the woods, see and experience some of the trails. Don't just go to the school and the trails, walk downtown and see where you'd eat off campus, ride your bike, and get new books to read. NMU has more than enough to offer, but then you add what Marquette has to offer also? Wow!

People are individuals with separate and different minds, don't limit yourself to what you THINK you can do, go further and see what YOU CAN do.
