'24 Environmental Studies & Sustainability Major from Ludington, MI

Meet Matthew Wagner, an Environmental Studies & Sustainability Major from Ludington, MI. Matthew plans to graduate this December.

For the opportunity to study natural resource management through sustainability coursework.

I love to be outdoors and I always want to find ways to preserve our environment

I had the opportunity to go to the East Lakes/West Lakes conference in Kalamazoo to learn about lots of different sustainability efforts we have.

I am a member of Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU) and I have met some bright-minded peers and upcoming students that have helped me with some networking skills.

To me, being a Wildcat has taught me to just be myself and go for it and don't be afraid to try new things and this campus welcomes that kind of thinking.

I found it in our teaching staff. Every time I have ever needed guidance for things either in their classes or needing life advice they never hesitate to help. So now I do my best to mirror that by helping others as much as I can. Having these people has helped me become more than I ever thought I could be.

Do it. I had no idea what it would be like up here until I was actually on campus. I live 6 hours away when I'm not here so I took a risk with wanting to go here but it was worth it. It is very easy to find your way up here once you get your bearings and I would just tell anyone considering coming here those words.
