Meet Megan Tarcea, a Multi-Media Production major, from Waterford, MI. Megan plans to graduate in 2024.
What's an example of a cool, interesting or helpful thing that you have done as a part of your major?
I am currently the main camera 1 operator for all NMU Hockey home games, and have directed the live broadcasts for NMU basketball and football home games. I have been a producer and director of NMU’s student run daily news broadcast, Public Eye News, and am also currently a Master Control Operator for WNMU-TV on campus.
What are you involved in on- and off-campus and what has been the most rewarding experience?
How did you find your sense of belonging at NMU?
I found my sense of belonging in the production community around campus. Within my first few months on campus, I joined P.E.N. and gained so many friends and network connections that will last me a lifetime. I was given so many opportunities to grow in my perspective career that it allowed me to become comfortable and confident and find my place.
