Meet River Price, an Art & Design major with a focus in photography, from Grand Blanc, Mich. River plans to graduate in 2027. Why did you decide to come to NMU? I love being up north and I got up here for the very first tour I ever took and I instantly loved it and knew it was home. How did you decide your major/minor? Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was little and I decided it was what I wanted to do for a living. What's an example of a cool, interesting or helpful thing that you have done as a part of your major? I learned what professors were good and what ones were bad in the first semester. That was helpful. What are you involved in on- and off-campus and what has been the most rewarding experience? I’m involved in a club but I have yet to go to any of the meetings and such. So… whoops? What does being a Wildcat mean to you? Honest. Helpful. Brave. How did you find your sense of belonging at NMU? My partner helps a lot. They also go to NMU. What would you tell someone who is considering coming to NMU? You will love it up here. Just make sure you have a good winter coat, good boots, and a will to endure long, hard winters.
