The course provides in-depth study both in terms of content and historiography of major themes in early modern European history. Topics may include overseas expansion, reform of religion, the royal state, the intellectual revolution, society and economy in the pre-industrial age, and then French Revolution. The topic and approach will vary according to the instuctor. Notes:
