This course is designed to teach basic principles of medical genetics and the application of these principles to our understanding of human genetic diseases and disabilities. In addition, this course will help students gain a better understanding of the role of genetics in ongoing developments in patient care. Topics span the following areas: infectious diseases, hematology/oncology, and molecular genetics.
