This class is part of a supervised, full-time, 12-month clinical practicum in an accredited cytotechnology program. It includes tissue preparation and staining techniques; microscopic study of cellular alterations indicative of cancer, pre-cancerous conditions, bacterial, viral and parasitic infections; and hormonal abnormalities.
