HS 307 Themes in Early Modern Europe 4 cr. The course provides in-depth study both in terms of content and historiography of major themes in early modern European history. Topics may include overseas expansion, reform of religion, the royal state, the intellectual revolution, society and economy in the pre-industrial age, and the French Revolution.
