Development of entry-level medical diagnostic and procedural coding skills using current protocol, International Classification of Diseases, Clinical Modification (ICD-CM) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT). Emphasis is placed on accurate and ethical coding practices as they affect reimbursement for health care.
