COS 180 Laws, History of Natural Hair, and Principles of Success 2 cr.  (2-0-0)

This course provides information and procedures for proper sanitation and infection control to ensure safety to the student as well as the public. Students learn OSHA standards, laws governing the program within the state guidelines and the principles for personal and professional success and career paths specifically for natural hair stylists. Students study the history of natural hair care, braiding and the advancements made in black culture throughout the centuries.
