Radical Togetherness – Crafting Kindness
Join us for a day of community, creativity, and connection. Participate in breakout volunteer sessions to make blankets, inspirational cards, and friendship bracelets. Lunch and inspiring speakers will be provided to fuel your acts of service.

Advocacy in Action – Writing for Change
Use your voice to make a difference! Write letters to state legislators advocating for equitable policies and systemic change. Materials and guidance will be provided.

Nourishing Our Neighbors – Feeding America
Volunteer with Feeding America to help unload and distribute food to the Marquette community. Together, we can make an impact and provide nourishment to those in need.

Explore and connect with organizations that champion diversity, equity, and inclusion. Discover opportunities to get involved and make a lasting impact on campus and beyond.

Compassion in Action – Kit Assembly & Delivery
Come together to assemble the Winter Care Kits and deliver them to Room at the Inn. Celebrate the collective efforts of the NMU community in serving others and carrying Dr. King’s legacy forward.

Winter Care Kits

Please donate the following:

  1. Rain Poncho - one compact, folded rain poncho
  2. Hand Warmers - one package of hand/foot warmers
  3. Wrapped Snacks - must be easy to chew
  4. Emergency Blanket - one compact blanket
  5. Socks, Hat, or Gloves - One pair of adult-size socks. You can also include a warm hat or gloves.
  6. Hygiene Item(s) - No medicine or pills. No liquid hand sanitizers.
    • Band-Aids (small/big ones to cover blisters)
    • Deodorant
    • Shaving Razors
    • Lotion
    • Wet Wipes or Bath Wipes
    • Cotton Swabs
    • Neosporin or Antibiotic Ointment
