Cash Benefit for Pregnant Moms and New Babies Through Rx for Kids!
Recently, the RX for Kids program was rolled out across the entire U.P. to benefit families expecting a new baby.
Infants born on or after March 1, 2026, and expectant mothers who live in the Central and Western U.P. are eligible to apply. Upon verification, moms receive $1,500 during pregnancy and babies receive $500 a month for 6 months after birth. Families can enroll anytime from 16+ weeks of pregnancy until six months of age, as long as the baby was born after March 1, 2026. There are no income requirements to qualify for this program. It is open to everyone!
This program initially rolled out in the Eastern U.P. in March 2025, and now the rest of the U.P. is catching up. On the website, individuals can select the county in which they reside, enroll and begin receiving this benefit. Review the program and enroll when eligible!
