Evening at the Archives: Philo P. Chase and the Barnes-Hecker Mine
Join the Central Upper Peninsula and NMU Archives for an Evening at the Archives presentation with Zach Lanciani, who helped research the Beaumier Heritage Center's recent exhibit commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Barnes-Hecker Mine disaster.
Lanciani will share his research process and discuss what he uncovered about Philo P. Chase, the landowner who leased his property to the Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Company.
The presentation will take place from 7 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Central Upper Peninsula and NMU Archives in Harden Hall 228.
