Monoprinting Workshop with Kevin Wixted
Join artist Kevin Wixted for a monoprinting workshop at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, in room 267 of the NMU Art & Design building.
The workshop is being held in conjunction with Duets: Nina Rizzo & Kevin Wixted, a new exhibition on display from Oct. 9 – Dec. 10, 2026, at the DeVos Art Museum.
Nina Rizzo and Kevin Wixted bring the faraway nearby in paintings that begin as observations. The specificity and intimacy of time spent in nature are evident, yet altered by the perceptual distance memory creates. The paintings describe what it feels like to carry a place with us.
Opening Reception & Artist Talks
Join us for the opening reception and artist talks from 5 – 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, at the DeVos Art Museum. A musical performance will take place at 6:45 p.m.
