NMU Rural Health Careers Camp
The NMU Rural Health Careers Camp is an opportunity for high school students from across the UP to experience the health professions to be ready to enter post-secondary education. Students will experience a variety of health simulations, tour a medical facility and become CPR certified in this 3-day camp.
The mission of the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is "Connecting Students to Careers… Professionals to Communities...and Communities to Better Health." We work to carry out this mission by exposing students in health careers through education and outreach; encouraging health profession students to work in areas that need greater access to primary care professionals, and enhancing professional development opportunities for health professionals.
