North Wind Student Newspaper 50th Anniversary

NMU's independent student voice and news source, the North Wind, is turning 50 this year! Started on Sept. 14, 1972, the North Wind has been providing comprehensive, editorially independent news coverage available on issues and events that are relevant, timely and of interest to students at NMU. The paper also serves as an on-the-job training opportunity for students, which is often their first professional journalistic or business-related experience.
