Suggest a Book for the DCRP!
The Diversity Common Reader Program (DCRP) is looking for book recommendations! To suggest a book (or topic) for next year, please fill out this very brief survey. And feel free to pass along to students, colleagues, friends, and community members.
Held annually since 2013, the DCRP comprises an interdisciplinary series of events inspired by a nonfiction book that advances discussions of diversity, inclusion, and justice. Each year's book is selected by a committee affiliated with the President's Committee on Diversity. Criteria for selection include accessibility, interdisciplinarity, and relevance. Copies of the book are distributed free of charge to NMU students (on a first-come-first-served basis). When possible, the author is invited to address the NMU community.
A list of previously selected books can be found here.
