Discussions: Diversity Common Reader Program
Northern Michigan University's annual Diversity Common Reader Program (DCRP) revolves around a nonfiction book of interdisciplinary interest that advances discussions of diversity, inclusion and justice. This year's selection is Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between the World and Me, and the DCRP is planning three informal discussions, each focused on a section of the book, for NMU students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends. The sessions are Dec. 15, Dec. 29, and Jan. 12.
The book is available free to NMU students and can be found online or at a local bookstore for alumni and friends.
Registrants are encouraged to attend all three sessions, as each will focus on a different section of the book, however attendance at all sessions is not required to register.
