All credits and requirements applied toward a master’s degree, including transfer credits, must be completed within seven years prior to the date on which the degree is conferred. Students may choose to repeat courses taken more than seven years ago, providing that the courses meet the criteria for repeating courses described in the “Repeating Courses” section of the Graduate Bulletin.

A limited number of out-of-date credits may be validated through professional experiences or additional course work beyond the required minimum. The Dean of Graduate Studies and Research may validate out-of-date course credits on the recommendation of the faculty adviser and department that offered the course.
