Major and minor: English major, German minor
What were your favorite moments as an undergrad at NMU?
The opportunity to do a study abroad in Vienna was by far the best part of my time at NMU. However, if we're talking strictly AT NMU, it would be meeting so many different people and getting to know them through my classes.
What will you miss most about being an NMU student?
My friends and the culture that I've experienced here.
What were your favorite moments as a Languages, Literatures and International Studies program student?
I have loved getting to challenge myself and open the doorway for more opportunities in the future. Learning German has allowed me to learn more about the world and understand things on a deeper level.
What was your favorite course in the LLIS department?
My favorite course was probably my GR directed study because I got to continue learning German but through a topic that really interested me. I will always recommend someone take a Directed Study if they are given the opportunity because they can further their learning through a passion that'll hopefully lead to them continuing to learn after the course is done.
If asked by an employer what you can do with your major, what would you say?
I can communicate with a wider community of people and have a better understanding of the world around of me.
If you met an incoming student, what advice would you give them?
I would recommend that they take a language course and study abroad, even if it's not going to be their major or minor.
