Projects & Implementation staff are here to assist the NMU community with software projects and implementations. If you are looking to procure new software or have questions about leveraging existing systems, you've found the right place. This site provides information the process, resources, and information necessary to successfully implement software.

Our role is to support you through the software procurement process - ensuring that your implementation is completed on time, within budget, and successfully. We liaise with vendors from discovery through the implementation phases of your project, and coordinate project work with campus subject matter experts and IT resources as needed. We also serve a consulting role and can help you determine the software and systems options that best meet your needs.
What is a project?
- A unique endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result
- Temporary - having a specified beginning and end
- Defined by deliverables, scope, and resources
- Completed by a temporary team that exists for the execution of the project
- Facilitated by a Project Manager who is responsible for its success
- Specified goals/objectives, and an established process to meet them
- Concluded when its objectives have been attained
