Art is a way for people to express themselves in ways they may not be able to in words. As part of the UNITED Conference, an art exhibit will be on display, featuring photographs taken by Upper Peninsula Native American students who participated in the Writing with Light: Waaseyaasibii'ige Project last winter. Students were given cameras and asked to create a memory of someone they believed to be important in their life or their community. The exhibit is available all three days (Sept.23-25) in the Whitman commons in Whitman Hall, on the corner of Norway and Fair Avenues (see campus map).
