GC 210 Natural Disasters 4 cr. This web-based course focuses on how the normal physical processes of the Earth concentrate their energies and impact humans and their structures. Earth system processes such as volcanoes, earthquakes, landslides, floods, subsidence, meteorite impacts, and tsunamis will be studied. Techniques for evaluating the risks associated with these hazards are included in the course.
