Real Analysis

This course will provide a general introduction to the fundamental features of real numbers, real-valued functions, Lebesgue measure, Lebesgue integral, differentiation, and general concepts of metric and normed spaces.

Neuroscience

This course covers: (1) the electrical, cellular, and molecular properties of neurons/neural networks, (2) developmental processes of neurons and neural networks, and (3) system neuroscience including anatomy and physiology of sensorimotor networks and learning and memory processes.

Fisheries and Wildlife Seminar

BI 290 Fisheries and Wildlife Seminar 1 cr.

Seminar introduces students to fundamental elements of the profession of natural resources management including agency structure, job seeking, internships, resume building, interview skills, graduate study, leadership skills, and communication tips. Intended for students in their second year of study.

United States Immigration History

HS 339 United States Immigration History 4 cr.

Survey of U.S. immigration history examining the immigrant experience from first contact through the present. It will explore why people immigrate, modes of transportation, settlement patterns, development of ethnic institutions, and question how immigrants assimilate and simultaneously amalgamate the host society.
