AUT 140 Steering and Suspension Fundamentals 2 cr.  (1-0-3)

Introduction to the theory, maintenance, and service of the steering and suspension systems used on today’s cars and light trucks. Units of instruction include wheels and tires, conventional linkage, rack and pinion, control arm, and strut chassis systems.

Environmental Communication in an International Context: Brazil

SP 434 Environmental Communication in an International Context: Brazil 4 cr.

This course is designed to introduce students to the environmental conditions in Brazil while focusing on the ways in which Brazilians communicate about and understand communications related to those conditions in the context of an integrated social science perspective. Following a series of on-campus workshops dealing with Brazil in general as well as a variety of social science perspectives, students will spend two weeks in Brazil studying and applying concepts. 

Sport Public Relations and Media

PR 350 Sport Public Relations and Media 4 cr.

Students learn about the sport public relations field with a focus on publicity and promotion techniques used to attract fan attention and generate revenue. Unique aspects related to media relations and social media promotion are also covered. 

The Atlantic World

HS 320 The Atlantic World 4 cr.

The integration of four distinct continents—North America, South America, Europe, and Africa—into an integrated economic and political realm represents one of the most significant transitions in history. The Atlantic World: 1450 to 1820 begins with Portuguese exploration along the West African coast and ends with Latin American independence. It places the British North American colonies and the advent of an independent United States in their broader Atlantic World contexts. 

History of Asia

HS 255 History of Asia 4 cr.

This broad survey of the history of Asia explores the largest and most populated continent in the world. While the regional emphasis may vary, it serves to introduce students to broad issues in Asian history.

The Ancient Mediterranean World

HS 253 The Ancient Mediterranean World 4 cr.

This course traces the interactions among societies bordering on the Mediterranean Sea from prehistoric times to the 600s C.E. These societies both competed and cooperated with one another in cultural exchanges, politics, and economics. Includes the empires of ancient Mesopotamia and Persia, the kingdoms of Egypt, the kingdoms in Palestine, the Greek city-states, the Hellenistic kingdoms, the later Persian empires, and the Roman Empire.

Clinical Pharmacology Lecture

AH 107 Clinical Pharmacology Lecture 3 cr.  (3-0-0)

  • Prerequisites: Completion of BI 104 or BI 201/BI 202, or BI 207/BI 208 with a 2.0 GPA or better. Practical Nursing Certificate students will take this course in lieu of NU 221, unless permission received from instructor or previous applicable course.

This course is designed for the health care professional that will be administering medications and has a limited knowledge of drug calculation. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the review of pathophysiology, actions, therapeutic uses, client teaching and administration of medications.
