Records Center - Document Destruction
Save your shredders!!! If you have any files, documents or records that need to be shredded, just send them to the Records Center and we'll take care of confidentially destroying them for you! There are just 2-steps:
Step 1) To have records destroyed (even if they're not Confidential), use this Confidential Record Destruction Form: https://nmu.edu/recordsmanagement/record-destruction *You can use any cardboard boxes for this. Copier paper boxes work best because they fit well on the pallets, but any boxes that have lids and close completely are fine. Please remember, No binder clips, No paper clips, No hanging files and No 3-ring binders. Staples and manila folders are fine! Please write 'SHRED' on the top of the box.
Step 2) To send a request to Central Receiving/Warehouse Services to have any amount of boxes picked up and delivered to the Record Center for shredding, use this Work Request Form: https://nmu.edu/mwservices/work-request
