NMU Logo on bricks

Art and Design Building

Join us for a screening of Warrior Lawyers, an inspiring and compelling one hour documentary that invites viewers into the lives of contemporary Michigan Native American role models. It focuses on the under reported themes of Nation Re-Building, Tribal Justice and Culture Revitalization. Through the personal and professional stories of American Indian Attorneys, Tribal Judges and their colleagues, the program provides an overview of the major historical, government, legal, judicial and intertwining social issues shaping many Federally Recognized Nations today.

The screening will include opening remarks and a post-film panel discussion and audience Q&A led by the filmmaker Audrey Geyer, with attorneys from the documentary: Rich Vander Veen and Karrie Biron.

This event is free and open to the public.
