What can Handshake do for you?

Handshake is Career Services’ all-in-one web system for students, faculty, staff, employers, and alumni. 

Students and alumni job seekers can:

• Search and apply for jobs 24/7
• Manage multiple resumes, cover letter and other employment-related documents
• Sign up for job fairs, interviews, and other career events
• Students access Handshake through: MyNMU > Handshake Tile> or Search Side Bar
• Alumni access Handshake through: https://nmu.joinhandshake.com/

Faculty/staff can:

• Post on-campus jobs and internships (including Graduate Assistantships)
• Manage and receive applications online
• Register for job fairs and review employer attendees
• Search for available jobs with your students
• Refer employers interested in NMU students to Career Services to post and promote opportunities on Handshake
