What can Handshake do for you?

Handshake is Career Services’ all-in-one web system for students, faculty, staff, employers, and alumni. 

Students and alumni job seekers can:

• Search and apply for jobs 24/7
• Manage multiple resumes, cover letter and other employment-related documents
• Sign up for job fairs, interviews, and other career events
• Students access Handshake through: MyNMU > Student Services tab > Handshake
• Alumni access Handshake through: https://nmu.joinhandshake.com

Faculty/staff can:

• Post on-campus jobs and internships (including Graduate Assistantships)
• Manage and receive applications online
• Register for job fairs and review employer attendees
• Search for available jobs with your students
• Refer employers interested in NMU students to Career Services to post and promote opportunities in Handshake

We currently have over 14,900 employers in Handshake and that’s steadily growing! If there's an employer you'd like to see in Handshake, please let us know and we can reach out to them!  If you know of an employer that you do not do business with (Title IX, Unethical practices, etc.), please also let us know.
