NMU Day of GIving

NMU Day of Giving Digital Program

Ready to Grow Wild with us? Northern Michigan University is excited for NMU Day of Giving 2020 on
Tuesday, Dec. 1. Join us for a digital program throughout the day as we hear from President Erickson,
celebrate student success, and come together to support NMU and show our Wildcat pride.
The full schedule of events is below. Registration is required and you will receive the Zoom link once you
register (please note, there is ONE Zoom link for the entire day). The full program is free and open to all
alumni and friends. We welcome you to join us for any and all of the program highlights and you will be
able to ask questions at any time. #NMUGrowWild #NMUDayofGiving

Wear your Green and Gold on Dec. 1 and tune in for the following highlights:
10 a.m.: Coffee Chat with President Erickson and NMU Student Donor-funded Scholarship Recipients
Hear a message from President Erickson about the impact YOU have on our students, campus facilities,
academic programs, athletic teams, and the overall NMU experience. Students will also share how
scholarships have enabled them to continue their education.
12:30 p.m.: Check-In at the NMU Food Pantry with Assistant Dean of Students and Food Pantry
Advisor Haley Rhoades
CASH OVER CANS! The NMU Food Pantry is encouraging alumni and friends to donate cash instead of
canned items this year. Now more than ever, our NMU students need our help to be sure their basic
needs are met so they can focus on learning.
2 p.m. Check-In at the BEAR Center with Director Jacob Daar
Learn about the Behavioral, Education, Assessment and Research (BEAR) Center and how the recent
Michigan Health Endowment Fund has allowed it to expand its services. Support from donors like you
can help the center continue to make a major difference in families’ lives.
5 p.m. Happy Hour with Associate Dean Joe Lubig and Dean Carol Johnson
Join Dr. Joe Lubig, associate dean of Education, Leadership and Public Service and Dr. Carol Johnson,
dean of the College of Business, as we raise a glass to YOU for your continued support in NMU. They will
share the impact donations have on their departments and the importance of giving back so we can
continue to make NMU an excellent place to learn, explore, compete, and discover.
