Northern Now: Artificial Intelligence and the Job Market

The Northern Michigan University Alumni Association is excited to continue Northern Now, a monthly digital event series for alumni and friends. Join us on Wednesday, January 13 at 7 p.m. ET as we welcome NMU faculty and alumni for a panel discussion on Artificial Intelligence. The panelists include Dr. Jeffrey Horn, associate professor of Computer Science and Anna Martin, a 2020 CS graduate and a current graduate student at University of Minnesota Duluth, and Adam Kall, a 2018 CS graduate and current director of technology at Kall Morris Inc., aiming to be the first company with a commercially viable product for collecting debris in orbit.

Each with different perspectives on the topic, the panelists will discuss the trend of machine learning and consequences on the job market, particularly pertaining to jobs in the Computer Science field.

Attendees will be able to ask questions to the panelists live. The event is free and registration is required. Once you register, you will receive the link to the live stream.
