Dr. Stacy Boyer-Davis

Program Director


Dr. Stacy Boyer-Davis is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Northern Michigan University. She also serves as the College of Business Assistant Department Head for Graduate Studies and Accounting. Stacy received her Ph.D. in Business from Capella University. She earned three Masters' degrees from Keller Graduate School of Management: Human Resources, Business Administration, and Accounting and Financial Management, and a BS degree in Accounting from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She has over twenty years of accounting and leadership experience serving governmental, for-profit, and not-for-profit organizations. Stacy has published articles in journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Finance, Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance, American Journal of Distance Education, the Journal of Business and Educational Leadership, and the Journal of Business and Accounting. Her research interests include the implications of the human-technology interface in the accounting field, high-impact teaching practices (HITP) in accounting programs, and the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) as it relates to synchronous and asynchronous course design and delivery. Stacy has received several teaching awards including the Michigan Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) Accounting Teaching Excellence (2021), College of Business Outstanding Research (2020), College of Business Outstanding Graduate Teacher (2019), Global Campus Excellence in Online Teaching (2018), and the College of Business Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher (2018). In her spare time, Dr. "Stacy" enjoys hiking, reading, listening to music, watching documentaries  and spending time with her husband (Jim), daughter (Autumn), and two cats (Valentina and Louise).


Madison Ngafeeson

Dr. Madison Ngafeeson

Dr. Madison Ngafeeson has both teaching and extensive research experience in the area of health information management as well as in information systems. He also has experience with working in the health care industry and in developing industry partnerships, which is critical to the success of this type of program. Dr. Ngafeeson is a passionate teacher and researcher. His research has been featured at national and international conferences including the Decision Sciences Institute and the European Conference on Information Systems, as well as reputable outlets such as the International Journal of Electronic Healthcare, International Journal of Electronic Government Research, International Journal of Electronic Finance and the Encyclopedia of Information Sciences and Technology.

University Business Hours

University business hours are 8 a.m.– 5 p.m. during the fall and winter semesters (late August through early May) and 7:30 a.m.– 5:30 p.m. during the summer (early May through late August). Northern Michigan University is located in the Eastern time zone.

Campus Location

The College of Business is located at 301 Cohodas Hall, which is accessible from both the Presque Isle Avenue and Kaye Avenue entrances, and is located across from the Northern Center. (See campus map.)
