Students who enroll in military science classes incur no military obligation nor commit themselves to continue taking military science courses (unless they commit to earning a Presidential Commission as a U.S. Army Officer in the Active Army, Army Reserves, or Army National Guard). Students may add, drop, or withdraw from military science courses as in any other academic program.
The Army ROTC scholarship program provides financial assistance for the education and training of highly qualified and motivated young men and women who desire to be commissioned as officers in the Army after graduation from college. The Wildcat Battalion is the official name of our ROTC program on campus.
ROTC enhances your undergraduate nursing education or graduate nursing education by providing the unique leadership and management training alongside the practical experience needed for success, either in the Army or the civilian sector. You will also develop leadership skills, self-confidence, flexibility, and adaptability.
