AI Statement from the Department of Psychological Science 

The Department of Psychological Science AI policy is consistent with the University policy. Faculty in the Department are granted academic freedom to require the use or non-use of AI technologies in their courses and academic experiences. Individual faculty may provide more specific guidance regarding acceptable and unacceptable uses of AI in their syllabi. In the absence of explicit guidance, students must ask instructors for clarification prior to using AI tools in coursework. Use of generative AI without proper citation is considered plagiarism, and university policy applies Plagiarism | NMU Writing Center.
