This cult classic humorously pays homage to B movies from the science fiction and horror genres spanning the 1930s to the early 1960s. The plot follows a newly engaged couple who, after being caught in a storm, find themselves at the mansion of a flamboyant transvestite scientist, Dr. Frank-N-Furter. There, they encounter his latest creation, Rocky—a Frankenstein-like figure who is a fully grown, physically perfect muscle man with blonde hair and a tan.

A Note from the Director
As we are headed towards a frighteningly conservative world, we tend to forget that a large part of our history is bold, beautiful, and ultimately, queer. Brad & Janet are your two quintessential conservative caricatures of the "everyman" who should be at the beginnings of their nuclear family. In a world of Brad/Janets, Sluts/Assholes, if any one of them happened to stumble into a drag ballroom show full of color, life, and individualism, wouldn't they begin to question their entire worldviews?
My intention during this show was to explore the roots of Rocky and the classic callouts, which are ultimately unshakably queer. I wanted to pay homage to the people that created our beloved callouts/cult personality of Rocky, and their energy truly comes from Harlem in the 80s, the face of diversity and queer joy, housing the birth of the ballroom and drag scenes. The brightest parts of our culture were created by BIPOC's. As a certain administration has begun taking over the world of theatre, putting a spotlight on these legends is more important now than ever. I chose to gender bend certain roles to show the full rainbow of gender expression, because why should Rocky Horror be stuck in traditional values? It's time to celebrate all of our quirks and differences, not try to shove them all away.
I am so thankful to have gotten to work alongside my dear friends and classmates who I've grown with over the years. Their work and dedication has inspired me every single day. I could not be more grateful to have worked on my favorite show with all of my favorite people and celebrate being freaky.
They are what proves, "Don't dream it, be it."
