Registration for the 2nd Annual Mind Over Miles 5k is live! The 5k will take place on Thursday, October 9th, 2025 at 5:30pm starting at the Wildcat Statue near Jamrich Hall.

Register here. Students, faculty, and staff at NMU can register for free (with the option to purchase a t-shirt), while community members can register for $20, which includes a race t-shirt. Register by 11:59pm on September 14th to guarantee your shirt!

Getting Involved

Packet Pickup

Early packet pickup is highly recommended and will occur on Wednesday, October 8th from 3pm-6pm in the Jamrich 1100 lobby area. If you cannot make it, we will also have packets on hand on race day from 4:30pm-5:15pm.

Location, Parking, and Other Info

  • The race starts and ends at the Wildcat Statue, located by Jamrich.
  • Lots 28, 29, and 62 are available to all for parking, but if you reside or work on/near campus, we encourage walking over due to limited space.
  • Please no pets, other than service animals. We will have some Wildpups (NMU's therapy dogs) at the start/finish line.
  • Timing services provided by Superior Timing.
  • Restrooms are located in Jamrich Hall.
  • Post-race refreshments and water will be available, and one hydration station will be located about halfway through the course.

5k Route

The race takes a scenic loop around campus. NMU PD will help at traffic crossings, and we will have emergency personnel on hand at our start/finish line.
