Organizational Behavior and Management

MGT 240 Organizational Behavior and Management 4 cr. The study of managerial processes with emphasis upon human behavior in organizations and how organizational structures affect human behavior. Concepts from the psychological, sociological, organizational and other relevant literature will be applied to decision making and its ethical implications in the international context of organizations.

Customer Service

MGT 228 Customer Service 2 cr.

Provides a clear, usable process for developing skills, attitudes, and thinking patterns necessary to deliver excellent customer service. Individual success is contingent on how effectively fundamental customer service skills are mastered and carried out. This course emphasizes self-assessment and mastery of those skills too often ignored or taken for granted.

Entrepreneurship

MGT 215 Entrepreneurship 4 cr. Students investigate the nature and history of entrepreneurships. Opportunity searching and creative processes are used to develop new entrepreneurial ideas. Students are exposed to the development of an entrepreneurial business plan. The accounting, finance, management and marketing aspects of entrepreneurship are analyzed. Each student develops and presents a new venture plan.

Introduction to Business

MGT 121 Introduction to Business 4 cr. This course provides an overview of the field of business. The basic vocabulary and concepts of accounting, computer information systems, economics, finance, management, and marketing are discussed. The importance of business, ethics, social responsibility, and international business are threaded throughout the course. Notes:
