As a Customer Success Coordinator, I onboard all of our new clients. I meet with their team to get their Gratavid account up and running, and then I meet with them again 2 weeks later to answer any questions. I also do continued training with all of our clients every month.

Professor Bodeman’s Sales class is what comes to mind immediately. I wasn’t really interested in sales, but after taking her course, I realized there is so much more to it than “getting someone to buy something.” The core principles are now what consume my every day. Understanding that it’s always about the client, ensuring that they feel set up to succeed, and knowing that I have “the curse of knowledge” meaning I understand the platform completely, but people who are just seeing it for the first time don’t. Also, taking sociology and psychology has helped to understand different cultures and the way they communicate, as I now work with people worldwide. 

My advice would be to stand out, ask questions, get involved, and network as much as you possibly can. Networking with current students, professors, and alumni is the reason that I have landed this incredible job.
