Brief Description of What You Do
I lead a team of chemists in quantifying active compounds, colloquially known as "potency", in Cannabis and cannabis-infused products, as well as an array of other nutraceutical and organic products.
What at NMU helped you most in your current role?
The hands-on experience in using analytical instrumentation with the ability to troubleshoot problems that arise, not only helped me gain a better understanding of separation chemistry and instrumentation, but provided me room to practice being confident problem solving under stressful situations.
What advice would you give current students?
Try to think about WHY you're doing something while you're doing it. You'll understand it better.
Are there personal interests and/or activities you care to share?
I'm passionate about the outdoors. I let it be a motivator and a sanctuary.
