Meet Lori Juntila Rupert, a 1981 BS Office Administration alumna from Ishpeming, MI. Lori currently resides in Del City, Oklahoma, where she holds the position of Director of Academic Programs at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Lori was an NMU Student-athlete and on the Women's Basketball Team from 1977-1981. She was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
Brief Description of What You Do
Develop, plan, supervise and direct masters and undergraduate course offerings, 20 faculty and 1 staff. Hire and assign faculty, advise adult students from admission to graduation, supervise and train staff.
Adjunct teach 7 classes throughout the year; 5 unique classes in Management and Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management, Microeconomics, Business Finance, and Supervisory Management.
What at NMU helped you most in your current role?
Obtaining my bachelor's degree was the basis for obtaining management experience and then pursuing 3 master's degrees and 2 master certificates. Master's in Health Promotion, Master's in Financial Counseling, Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. Master's Certificates in Online Teaching and Learning and Instructional Design.
I am able to Adjunct teach due to having my master's degrees.
