Meet Michael David Brown, a 2005 Alumnus from Lafayette Hill, Pa. Michael is currently the Director of the Office of Veterans and Military Service Members at Villanova University.

I ensure that student veterans and other military-affiliated students across the campus, have access to benefits, resources, and programs. We recruit, retain, and graduate high-achieving students, and create pathways to employment, for their career goals.

NMU provided me with a great space for my transition out of the Army. My professors, the staff, and my fellow students truly helped me unlock my curiosity, and sense of belonging. NMU was what I needed, when I needed it. I would not be where I am today without my degree, but more importantly, the people that surrounded me.

Expose yourself to different people, places, and things, to learn more about yourself, and your goals in life. Be an active member of the campus community, and enjoy every minute!

I am married, and the dad of two boys, we love to go to sporting events, be outside, and go on adventures whenever time allows. I love to read, learn and grow as a person, and again, NMU helped spark those interests inside of me.
