Former and Current Roles
Clinical Psychologist Ret.
Brief Description of What You Do
Licensed Psychologist in Wisconsin and New Hampshire. I worked in Community Mental Health in both states, seeing children, adolescents, and families for many years.
What at NMU helped you most in your current role?
My psychology professors at NMU were wonderfully supportive and caring. I have fond memories of Harlan and Connie Hamm, John Renfrew, and Michael Commons.
What advice would you give current students?
Don't be afraid to get involved on campus. Extend yourself to others, and don't underestimate your ability to contribute. Students learn a lot from other students.
Are there personal interests and/or activities you care to share?
I love boats of all kinds. I have built quite a few, including a 25 ft catamaran that I loved sailing on Lake Superior. My wife and I really enjoy our children, grandchildren, and traveling.
