There are a number of ways to join forces with Northern Michigan University’s Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship: as a school, a teacher, a community leader, business, parent or NMU student leader.

Businesses, organizations, community members and parents are welcome to review our schedule each year and become active participants through sponsorships, materials donations and/or lending expertise.

Northern Michigan students are also encouraged to help the Center create new materials for Upper Peninsula classrooms and parents.  Some internship possibilities are available.

Make economics education and entrepreneurship a priority in the lives of the Upper Peninsula children you know.  Get involved.

The NMU-CEEE can be reached at ceee@nmu.edu or 906-227-1218.  Dr. Hugo Eyzaguirre is the Center’s director and your contact for great ideas.

Educator Associates

Economic educators enthusiastic about integrating economics into the K-12 school system and in improving the way economics is taught in our region. They can provide support to K-12 educators by providing creative and effective teaching strategies. They can conduct or organize workshops introducing new approaches for teaching economic concepts and benchmarks. Please contact the NMU-CEEE if you are interested in participating in this effort.
