About Dr. Ives
Dr. Libby Ives (BS ’13, Earth Science) moved back to the Marquette area for a position with the Michigan Geological Survey out of the Upper Peninsula Geological Repository in Sawyer. The EEGS Department is fortunate that she will teach GC 365 Historical Geology in Winter 2025. While an undergraduate at NMU, she participated in a field course in Iceland, which led her to graduate school. With interest in rocks, landforms, and glacial history Dr. Ives has seized some amazing opportunities around the world, including in Antarctica, Greenland, Tasmania, and Argentina.
