Majors: Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences and Individualized Studies (with Deaf Studies) Major

I really enjoyed all my in-person ASL courses (DFST 101 & DFST 102) as well as ASL: Artistic Expressions. These courses challenged my mental flexibility and helped me to improve both my conversational and storytelling abilities.

When I was hired as an ASL tutor, I did not expect to meet some of my closest friends in our tucked-away office in the basement in Harden. Those semesters were some of the most fun I had. Whenever there were no students in the LRC, we could be heard chatting and laughing up a storm. I am so thankful for those memories.

Majors and minor: Psychology and Data Science majors, Deaf Studies minor

Megan's favorite memories as an LLIS student include tutoring ASL students, learning new signs, and meeting other ASL students! More memories included bonding with other ASL students at ASL club, being able to sign the national anthem at hockey games, and signing “Brown Bear Brown Bear” with the Lake Superior Signers' 4H SPIN program and at the Children’s Museum.
