Trevor Rupiper, Northern Michigan University MBA student and Center for Rural Health Project Assistant, recently received an invitation to the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) global honor society for students graduating from business programs. He was formally invited by the NMU chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, of which he is a lifetime member.
The honor society inducts only 20% of senior Beta Gamma Sigma members, and AACSB accredited business schools are recognized as being in the top 5% rating for business academia.
“Being inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society has instilled a deep feeling of accomplishment, success, honor, happiness, achievement, purpose, and pride,” Rupiper said of the achievement. “Receiving this honor as an individual who fights and works hard for everything, enhanced these feelings and made me appreciate the induction.”
For Rupiper, this honor will help him succeed not only in his academic life, but in his role at the NMU Center for Rural Health and into his future endeavors.
“This particular honor represents my dedication to my performance academically, and professionally,” he stated. “Therefore, this honor supports my efforts as a Graduate Assistant for the Center for Rural Health, and the strive to achieve excellence within my role.”
Rupiper has been a Northern Michigan University student since 2016, and completed his Bachelor of Science degree in 2020. He is dedicated to research and learning while aiding the Center for Rural Health in achieving and maintaining key objectives. Rupiper is also passionate about advancing educational opportunities that will improve the health of residents throughout the Upper Peninsula.
