Christy Hartline, Ph.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist | Associate Professor

Christy is originally from the Iron Range in Minnesota. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Dakota. Dr. Hartline completed her pre-doctoral psychology internship at Hazelden Foundation in Minnesota. She then worked in community mental health for four years in South Dakota prior to moving to the U.P. She joined the Counseling Center at NMU in the fall of 2015.  She is a generalist practitioner, meaning she has worked with clients of all ages with various presenting issues. She has conducted individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, couple’s counseling, supervision, and psychological evaluations.
