Sadie Kernen grew up in a small Michigan lake town, Walled Lake, where she graduated high school and pursued a Bachelor's in science from Northern Michigan University. At NMU, she majored in Medicinal Plant Chemistry, while also conducting research with Dr. Adam Prus through the Neuropsychopharmacology Lab. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree at Northern through this same lab under the psychology department.
Sadie is interested in pursuing the substance-assisted therapy field, and currently works with Dr. Shawn Brown of Marquette Medical Urgent Care as a research assistant. There, she assists in data tracking and analysis with the ketamine infusion therapy section at the clinic.
In her free time, Sadie enjoys cooking delicious food, spending time with her loved ones, being outdoors, and playing with her 3 cats: Mila, Maybelline, and Patches.
